bath rugs and lingerie

one. this is my first entry on my brand spankin' new laptop. thanks to my cousin for building it for me. elaine says i've finally officially joined the 21st century (i'm making progress. ha).

two. i took way too many photos this weekend. which is good because i needed new material to scrap. i'm making my way through said photos.

three. my cousin christine is getting married in september. yesterday was the bridal shower. i *did* finally finish up editing the photos from the event:





one of the shower games..."kiss ryan on the lips." sort of like "pin the XYZ on the groom," but you put on this hooker-like lipstick, got blindfolded and spun around, then proceeded to try to kiss the photo of ryan (my cousin's fiancee) on the lips.


there were several panties hung on a line and she had to guess which bridesmaid brought which one. if she guessed wrong, she had to put it on her head. needless to say, 5 of the 6 ended up on her head...

presents! we were playing bridal bingo...the squares were filled with potetial gifts. we marked them off if she received a gift that was on your card. it became a running joke to call out "is that a bath rug?" whenever lingerie was opened because someone needed it to complete their bingo, but lingerie kept getting openned.


she had to get on a chair to open this one. it was a piece of luggage from one of our aunts.





four. these are of the little kiddos from throughout the day:


he was really determined to put on and walk around his big sister (who is 6, i think)'s crocs. it was adorable.


everyone loves uncle ryan. especially her.



good times were had by all.

(the other girls especially rocked the kit. especially jessica sprague. i want to be her when i grow up).

not much to share...caught in a pile of stuff to do...went to eat dumplings and saw the simpsons with the boys...i left my camera home for once. the simpsons was hilarious. i laughed a lot. tomorrow is my cousin's bridal shower and my little cousin's birthday party is on sunday, so i should be using the camera a bit this weekend :)

i'm a nerd.

read this all weekend.

woke up bright and early saturday morning (after going to bed at 3), headed out with amy to buy the book. went to portos for brunch and started reading it while eating (amy laughed at this sight). came home and alternated with scrapping and reading. went to my grandma's, took the book with me, and read. came home and read. and read. and read. until 5 a.m. woke up again, read all afternoon and finished.

it was awesome.

i think i've mentioned in the past (i remember blogging about one of the other books a long time ago) that i think JK rowling is absolutely brilliant. i still think that. she is a true master of storytelling and imagination, and a master of suspense and creating a mood. seriously. how does she produce this stuff?

i'm both relived and sad that it's over.

i don't want to give anything away, so i'll just stop at that. let's just say that linda had several theories which proved to be correct.

out and about.

my cousin complained that i haven't updated recently (actually posted photos recently).
i've been out and about.
but i *gasp* haven't really shot any photos lately.


this is from yesterday.
elaine moved up to norcal again today. so we had dinner last night.
she starts working full-time tomorrow. she's all grown up now. *tear*
but i was looking at this photo today...and it made me think and reminisce a little bit.
about how we all met as little freshmen in high school. how that seems like such a long time ago (almost 8 years). how little and young we were back then. how everything seems to be changing really fast these days. paula is going off to med school in the fall. judy will most likely start working soon. me and nora still have school left, but pretty soon, we'll be off on our way. it's a strange feeling. it'll take a while to get used to.

anyways. these are my label tulip LOs.
the kit was not what i'm usually *used* to working with...but i had a lot of fun with it! it was soooo pretty.
and for some reason, i brought out the san francisco photos. lol :)






in other very random news, this made me want to vomit a little. i mean...seriously? hilary diff and lifehouse? um, right. luckily for me, i'll be going to the ventura county fair show, which they are headlining. hooray.

to make up for that...this is pretty awesome. especially the beast of burden cover. and broken. i love it when he gets really into that. actually he really gets into every song. it's really emotional. and i think that is the reason i have come tolove lifehouse.

my sweet, lovely friend (and i must add talented) cindee has started a kit club, label tulip, which will premiere sunday. she also asked me to be a featured designer this month. this kit was so pretty. and anyone who uses tulle in a kit is cool in my book. check out their blog for more peeks, and a giveaway (which should be posted sometime today) :)

saw harry potter tonight. it was good! i think it helps that i couldn't remember half of what went on in the book. because when i remember it clearly, i start getting upset that they left certain parts out or that they portray things differently than i'd imagined. but it was good, regardless.


a fun digi. mindy terasawa has the most adorable dog kit coming out this week at designer digitals and i just had to play with it as soon as i saw it.

out and about a lot this weekend. friday, we checked out this old ranch/garden in long beach because: elaine wanted to visit an old building, i'm a sucker for gardens, and judy just tagged along. went to guppy house afterwards, and although we ordered a SMALL shaved ice, that thing was still pretty ginormous. accompanied someone to the mall on saturday, then dinner to catch up with some old friends.

and so. i come bearing a bunch of photos.
