Twirly Time

I love twirling. I love wearing things that are fun to twirl in. This dress had "twirly" written all over it! I was super excited when Shabby Apple contacted me to collaborate - lots of super cute pieces, all with a vintage flair, and perfect to twirl in!

I am wearing the Bonheur Blue dress here. It is from their From the Archives collection. I love this dress - it is a classic, timeless piece. It is super flattering, with a defined waist and a full skirt. I joked that I kind of felt like a 50's housewife in it, but I loved it! (J and I have talked about hosting a dinner party, and if we do, I think I should wear this dress, with an apron, and pin curls - HA!)

I was a little afraid that it would be too long, and fall at an awkward length, but it ended up being the perfect midi length. I knew as soon as I tried it on and saw how full the skirt was, that I would be twirling in this thing.

My friend June and I had been planning a photo outing for ages now (me being super busy lately, she made plans with me 2 months in advance. Smart girl). We kind of failed at the photo taking part, and took photos of each other for like 10 minutes total (FAIL), but she did get these cute shots of me. I am sure we had a bunch of weird looks from passerbys who were like "what the heck is that girl doing randomly twirling in a doorway," but whatever. We had fun anyways! Next time we will have to plan the photo outing part a liiiiiittle bit better.
